Townhouse specialist Paul Del Nunzio has been brought in to help sell Brooklyn’s most expensive listing.
The veteran Brown Harris Stevens broker, who recently placed sixth on The Real Deal’s annual ranking of Manhattan’s top listing agents, picked up a $40 million co-listing for the 15-bedroom, 1857 mansion at 3 Pierrepont Place in Brooklyn Heights.
She joins Corcoran’s Vicki Negron, who originally listed the home last year.
“We now have two superstar brokers,” Negron told TRD.
With BHS’ affiliation with Christie’s International Real Estate and Corcoran’s alliance with the Monaco-based brokerage John Taylor, she added, the listing agents will redouble their efforts to market the property to international buyers.
“They were always included, but not being pushed as hard,” Negron explained. “They’re now at the forefront of our marketing efforts.”
The American Institute of Architects has described 3 Pierrepont and its neighbor as “the most elegant brownstones left in New York.”
The 17,000-square-foot mansion is surrounded by 100-year-old trees and includes 16 bathrooms, nine fireplaces and a grand central staircase underneath a gargantuan skylight.
The building is currently divided into eight apartments that will be delivered vacant, and there are plans available for a single-family conversion.
The home shattered Brooklyn’s previous record for most-expensive listing when Negron brought it to market last year at $40 million. The previous record had been set by a condo at One Brooklyn Bridge Park asking $32 million.
Current owner Jeff Keil, the former president of Republic New York Corp., bought the building in 1991 for $2.3 million.
