Libet Johnson lists Millbrook mansion for $28.5M

It’s just the latest real estate play from the Johnson and Johnson heiress

It’s been a busy month for Johnson and Johnson heiress Elizabeth Ross “Libet” Johnson. After failing to find a buyer for her $55 million Upper East Side home, she decided a compromise was in order and relisted it as a $95,000 a month rental.

But it seems she wasn’t done making real estate plays. Now, Libet has slapped her Millbrook farm on the market for $28.5 million (by coincidence, one of her former city properties is currently asking the same amount).

If her farmhouse mansion finds a buyer at that ask, it will set a record for Millbrook, Marina Schindler of Compass, one of the listing agents, told the Wall Street Journal. The previous sale record was set in 2011 for $18.3 million.

So what does the highest priced home listing to date in the village 90 miles north of New York City get you? Known as Lightning Tree Farm, the property consists of a nine-bedroom Greek Revival mansion built around 1850, four guesthouses, equestrian facilities, over 600 acres and a helipad.
