Demetrios Moragianis’ Proto Property Services is planning a 112-unit apartment building at 645 Gates Avenue, according to plans filed with the Department of Buildings on Wednesday.
The seven-story building will span 84,700 square feet and contain a tenant recreation room and a 20-car parking area. A 192-unit rental building already stands on the lot, which is located between Throop Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard. The site offers an additional 95,000 buildable square feet, and it is likely the new residential building will stand beside the already existing structure.
Peter Franzese is the architect of record, the filing shows.
Moragianis’ Bronx-based firm owns more than a dozen properties throughout Brooklyn and the Bronx, including a 360-unit building at 2950 West 24th Street in Coney Island and a 264-unit residential building at 345 Thatford Avenue in Brownsville.
Representatives for Moragianis and Franzese could not be immediately reached for comment.
