Williamsburg isn’t known for its wide open spaces. But a rare 2.5-acre swath just south of the Williamsburg Bridge has hit the market.
Con Edison is unloading a waterfront property at 500 Kent Avenue, near the East River Ferry stop, the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the Brooklyn Tech Triangle and the forthcoming Brooklyn-Queens Connector, according to DNAinfo.
It sounds like a developer’s dream, but there is a catch. The site is currently zoned for manufacturing, although the buyer could also build offices or another commercial space without further rezoning, Cushman and Wakefield, which is handling the sale, noted.
