One of New York City’s hottest new clubs is a parking garage in Brooklyn. The entry fee starts at $185,000.
The Parking Club is a 130-space parking garage at 185-187 Pacific Street in Cobble Hill that also offers valet service in certain areas of Brooklyn and Manhattan, the New York Post reported. Thanks to a partnership with valet parking app Luxe, space owners can drop off and pick up their vehicles throughout the company’s service areas. The Parking Club’s developer, Lonicera Partners, believes that the garage is a much-needed answer to dwindling parking spaces and garages in the city.
“As parking continues to disappear, I think it’s an opportunity for developers going forward to build parking developments,” Jamie Anthony of Lonicera Partners, told the Post. “Demand is going to continue to go up … it’s going to become more of a valuable commodity.”
Compass [TRDataCustom] is handling sales at the parking “condo.” Prices start at $185,000 and additional fees — like taxes and other charges — are also applied, just as with a regular condo. [NYP] — Kathryn Brenzel
