Rabsky to launch leasing at its first Greenpoint project
Rents will be as high as $5,200 at the 96-unit West Street rental
Rabsky Group plans to launch leasing next month at its new 96-unit rental building in Greenpoint, the developer’s first in the neighborhood.
The prolific Williamsburg-based development firm led by Simon Dushinsky and Isaac Rabinowitz is wrapping up construction on the seven-story, 88,000-square-foot property at 26 West Street, between Oak and Calyer streets. Leasing is slated to begin Feb. 15, sources told The Real Deal.
Sources familiar with the project, known as 26 West, said the rents will range from $2,350 per month for a studio to as much as $5,200 per month for a two-bedroom. Of the 96 apartments, 37 will be one-bedrooms and 34 will be studios. The rest will be one-and-a-half-bedrooms and two-bedrooms.
Karl Fischer [TRDataCustom] is the architect, and Durukan Design is handling interior design. Fiddler Realty is in charge of the leasing.
A representative for the developer did not respond to a request for comment.
Rabsky bought the one-story industrial building on the site from Penguin Air Conditioning Corporation for $12.7 million in 2014, property records show.
The majority of Rabsky’s projects to date have been in Williamsburg. But the developer is also planning a 36-story office tower at 625 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn and a 500-unit rental project at 10 Montieth Street as part of the Rheingold Brewery redevelopment in Bushwick. The firm is seeking a rezoning at the Broadway Triangle to allow for a 1,147-unit, 1 million-square-foot rental complex.
