The nation’s largest women-owned marketing agency is ditching its Soho digs for a bigger space at Brookfield Property Partners’ Brookfield Place.
Rauxa inked a 50,000-square-foot lease on the 44th floor and part of the 43rd at the Brookfield Place tower at 225 Liberty Street, the New York Post reported. The move more than doubles the space that Rauxa now has at 1oo Sixth Avenue.
The asking rent was reportedly in the high 70s per square foot. Rauxa will likely move in early 2018.
JLL’s Steven Rotter and Justin Haber and Transtar Real Estate’s Richard Miller represented Rauxa in the deal. Jeremiah Larkin and David McBride represented Brookfield in-house.
Last fall, Brookfield announced that it would be marketing a 49 percent stake in Brookfield Place for $2.45 billion. Last year, the company refinanced 225 Liberty Street for $900 million. In February, the company announced that it would delay a decision on whether or not to place its U.S. assets into a real estate investment trust until Donald Trump’s tax code policies become clear.
