Our job is to chronicle the changing city. Every day, our reporters and editors bring you the latest in the market, from breaking news to narrative features on the most important issues facing real estate. We’re grateful that readers look to us as an essential resource, and visit TheRealDeal.com several times a day.
We take that responsibility seriously, and are always trying to make your online experience better. Every chance we get, we ask our readers what changes they’d like to see. And after many months of feedback, coding, head-scratching, and more coding, we’re delighted to unveil a brand-spanking-new version of the website.
Some key things to look forward to:
Cleaner homepage and easier navigation: We’ve deleted some of the clutter to give this puppy a sleeker look and greater functionality.
Greater space to highlight our biggest stories: The news and stories you absolutely have to read, right up top
New font: Goodbye dastardly sans serif! Our new font is easier on the eyes
Search function: You can now search directly from the top right of the homepage
News categories: The drop-down navigation on the top left of the homepage shows our various categories of news and columns. Readers who wish to read just about real estate finance, for example, can click on the “Finance” tab
Dedicated section for videos: As we bring you more video content, we decided to give it its own home
This was a big effort, and there will invariably be things we missed. Please email me at hs@therealdeal.com with your feedback. Hope you enjoy the new site!
