Celebrity chef José Andrés to open Spanish food hall at 10 Hudson Yards

New dining space will span 35,000 square feet

Celebrity chef José Andrés plans to open a giant food hall akin to a Spanish Eataly at Hudson Yards.

Andrés will bring a 35,000-square-foot food hall to 10 Hudson Yards, taking the space previously eyed by Shake Shack’s Danny Meyer, the New York Post reported. The hall, which is expected to open next year, will feature tapas, formal fare, wine bars and more.

“It will be like [Italian-themed food hall] Eataly . . . but different. It’s more than a food hall,” a source told the Post.

Thomas Keller is also planning to open a restaurant at Hudson Yards, dubbed the TAK Room. The 200-seat restaurant is expected to open in 2018, and will take a few cues from “Mad Men,” Eater reported earlier this month. The restaurant will be Keller’s first in 10 years.

Meanwhile, Andrés is expected to open another restaurant this summer at 444 Park Avenue South. [NYP] — Kathryn Brenzel
