The Real Deal continues to add to TRData, our expansive online New York City real estate database, which includes the Deal Sheet and its more than 25,000 transactions stretching back to 2004.
The Deal Sheet has thousands of leases, including more than 6,600 retail transactions spanning more than 12 years. The retail market has been a hot topic in 2017 and TRData has data on 279 retail leasing transactions completed so far this year. While it’s easy to filter the Deal Sheet to view all 279 retail leases at once, it’s often more useful to narrow down the results to a specific borough, neighborhood or even the type of company that leased the space.
Use the Deal Sheet tab of the Advanced Search to filter retail leasing results. To view retail leases in 2017 specifically, you’ll check “Retail Leasing” from the “Filter by Type” section. Select “Publication Date” from the drop down next to “Filter by Date” and choose the dates “01/01/2017” to today’s date, “06/13/2017.” This reveals all 279 retail leases from 2017.
To further refine these results, choose a specific borough or neighborhood with the “Neighborhood” button, limit the size of the lease with the “Filter by Size” section or try typing something like “restaurant,” “food,” “finance,” “bank,” or “tech” into the “Filter by Keyword” section.
