Jay Glazer, a top producing broker who was fired from Compass just over two weeks ago, has joined the Corcoran Group.

Glazer made the announcement about joining the brokerage in an email on Tuesday. The broker was one of first big names to join Compass after the firm poached Leonard Steinberg for the president position in 2014. Compass did not give a reason for Glazer’s dismissal at the time.

In his email, Glazer — who has represented Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, as well as Wesley Edens, a part owner of the Milwaukee Bucks and a co-founder of Fortress Investment Group — said Corcoran has “powerful tools and resources” with “incredible reach through the Realogy community.”

Glazer and a representative from Corcoran were not immediately available for comment.
