Harry Macklowe buys $11M East Hampton love shack

From LLNYC: Harry Macklowe may be battling his wife of 57 years over their divorce in court, but his marital woes do not seem to be preventing him from living his best life. The developer has just bought himself a cozy mansion at 64 West End Road in East Hampton for $10.6 million, the New York Post reports.

Macklowe is divorcing his wife, Linda, in order to marry his French mistress, Patricia Landeau, whom he had been hiding for two years in a Park Avenue apartment. He has said that he intends to marry Patricia once his divorce from Linda is finalized.

That might make things a little awkward in this new house, as the Post reports that it is on the other side of Georgica Pond from the home he shared with Linda.

“He can still look across the pond to catch a view of his ex-wife,” a “spy” dished to the Post.

The home he bought was originally listed in 2014 for $19.5 million, and has lingered on the market since then. Per the listing, with Bonny Aarons and Janette Goodstein of Douglas Elliman, the 5,500-square-foot home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, ocean and pond access and a gunite pool. [NYP]
