From LLNYC: Why buy an incredibly expensive apartment when you can rent one? The owner of this penthouse at the Time Warner Center is certainly banking on someone feeling this way; he or she (their name is shielded behind an LLC obviously), just listed it for a whopping $125,000-a-month. That price makes it the most expensive, non-hotel listing in the whole city. Congratulations?

The listing, with Elizabeth Sample and Brenda Powers of Sotheby’s International Realty, was first spotted by Curbed. Coming in at 4,350 square feet, it has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, 12-foot ceilings, “jet liner views” of the entire city (and beyond), two kitchens (only peasants have one!), a wood-paneled library and a Crestron system that powers everything.

Based on the listing photos, there’s also quite a bit of creepy art, like statues of tall, skinny men in the living room. We’re pretty sure those would give us nightmares for days.
This unit has been listed on the rental market before, first asking $75,000 in 2010, with the price gradually going up from there. The owners paid $24.5 million for it in 2008.
