East Hampton’s rental registry deemed a success by town officials

Two summers after adopting a rental registry to control short-term and overcrowded rentals, East Hampton’s town supervisor declared the program a “terrific success.” Homeowners can only have two rentals of 14 days or less within a six month period under the rule. “There’s no question in my mind that it was the right thing to do, and it’s working,” town supervisor Larry Cantrell told the East Hampton Star. [East Hampton Star]
