Bob Weinstein strikes deal to sell UWS pad

Harvey Weinstein’s brother struck a deal to sell his Upper West Side brownstone with an asking price of $18 million, one of 21 luxury contracts signed last week.

The other celeb deal was on an apartment owned by rock icon Sting at 15 Central Park West, which was asking $56 million, according to Olshan Realty’s luxury market report. The New York Post reported last week that an unnamed buyer bought the home for $50 million.

Bob Weinstein, brother of disgraced media mogul Harvey, had originally been asking $19 million for his five-story, 6,608-square-foot home at 39 West 70th Street when it went on the market in February.

He bought the five-bedroom, five-bath home in May 2009 for $15 million and undertook an extensive renovation. The townhouse went into contract last week with an asking price of $17.9 million, the second-priciest of the week.

The most-expensive contract of the week went to Sting’s 5,417-square-foot duplex condo at the Zeckendorf’s 15 Central Park West, which he bought from the developers in 2008 for $26.9 million.

The apartment, 16/17B, has a 41-foot terrace facing Central Park. Corcoran’s Deborah Kern listed it at the current asking price of $56 million in May, according to StreetEasy.

The week’s top luxury contracts consisted of 14 condos, 6 co-ops and one townhouse, according to Olshan. The median asking price was $5.79 million, and there was an average discount from the original asking price to the last asking price of 3 percent.
