Boris Kuzinez’s supertall at 262 Fifth Avenue gets DOB approval

It could be Nomad's first skyscraper

Boris Kuzinez‘s plans for what could be the tallest building between Downtown and Midtown received approval from the city’s Department of Buildings.

The buildings on the lot have already been demolished to make way for the 1,009-foot-tall tower at 262 Fifth Avenue, according to New York YIMBY, which first reported on the DOB filings.

The building will feature 41 apartments and an observation deck, the filings show.

The “test the market” application The Real Deal obtained in August shows the triplex there could be listed for as much as $75 million.  Known as “Villa 3,” it could span 9,901 feet across the entire 51st through the 53rd floors. The lowest price for a unit at the tower is listed at $2.7 million, according to the test the market application.

Kuzinez, an Israeli developer who has built luxury projects in the heart of Moscow, spent $102 million assembling the land at 260-264 Fifth Avenue.

He tapped Yuri Grigoryan, a well-known Russian architect, to design the building. The project is the Grigoryan’s first in the U.S.
