It looks like the actress Nicole Kidman and country rocker husband Keith Urban could soon be heading to the Upper East Side.
Urban reportedly scooped up the Beaux-Arts townhouse at 4 East 74th Street for his wife, co-star of HBO’s “Big Little Lies,” the New York Post reported. Listed for $39 million, the house was once home to Marc Chagall and Michael Jackson.
Current owner Marc Lasry, chairman of Avenue Capital Group and co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, listed the 25-foot-wide home earlier this month.
Built in 1898, the six-story house measures 12,745 square feet and has 10 wood burning fireplaces, a garden-level patio and private roof deck. Lasry paid $11 million for the property in 2001. “While there are several interested parties in the house, no deal has been made yet,” said Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group, who is marketing the house with Nina Perez.
Earlier this month, developer Joseph Chetrit listed three adjacent townhouses for $51 million, $44 million and $39 million, respectively. [NYP] — E.B. Solomont
