Corcoran Group’s Fabienne Lecole jumps over to Compass

Fabienne Lecole has once again jumped ship, leaving the Corcoran Group for Compass.

The top producer left Corcoran nearly three years after rejoining the brokerage. On Thursday, her second day with Compass, Lecole said she’s been watching the young residential brokerage for some time as colleagues joined the firm.

“Over the last two years, I kept hearing about Compass Compass Compass,” she said. “It seemed to me that I should pay more attention, and I did.”

Representatives for Corcoran didn’t immediately return messages seeking comment.

“It feels like a family, like the way Corcoran used to be,” she said, noting that she still loves her former firm.

Lecole joined Corcoran in 2001 and left the firm briefly in September 2014 to go to William Raveis New York City. She rejoined her old firm five months later.

Last year she brokered the sale of a $24 million penthouse at 137 Riverside Drive. In June, a $11.8 million listing she represented at 150 Central Park South went into contract.

In the past two months, Compass raised $100 million and received another $450 million infusion from SoftBank. With a new valuation of $2.2 billion, Compass is the richest brokerage in the country.

“We’re at the end of 2017, and the market is changing,” Lecole said. “You either move with it or you miss it. I believe Compass is the future.”
