Longtime Douglas Elliman agent Jared Seligman is bringing his roster of celebrity clients to Stribling & Associates.
The Botox-loving agent — who has worked with A-listers like Kirsten Dunst, James Franco and the Olsen twins — has brokered more than $1 billion worth of deals and will work out of the firm’s Madison Avenue office, the firm said. In a statement, firm president Elizabeth Ann Stribling-Kivlan said she’s known Seligman for years, and described him as a “consummate professional.”
Elliman declined to comment on his move.
Known for hobnobbing with boldfaced clients, Seligman recently made headlines for his alleged extracurricular activities — not his sales prowess. In May, Seligman’s former personal assistant accused the agent of forcing her to work out of his apartment while he had “loud and unmistakable sexual intercourse” in the next room.On another occasion, also at his apartment, the assistant, Amy Gagnon, claimed she witnessed Seligman grope his personal physician, who was administering Botox injections. She also alleged that he tried to “strong-arm” her into getting him illegal drugs.
The agent denied the allegations, and agreed to pay $136,000 to settle the suit in October, court documents show.
Seligman — who got into real estate at 18 at Citi Habitats — joined Elliman in 2009 after a three-year stint at the Corcoran Group. He credits listing Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s penthouse at 1 Morton Square in 2007 as a career-defining moment. The pad, which was initially listed for $12 million, sold for $7.7 million in 2010.
In a statement, Seligman said the move to Stribling will give his clients “personalized attention” through the privately-owned brokerage “where where discretion and unwavering ethics are at the heart of every transaction.”
