You can fit a lot of Färgriks and Poängs into 975,000 square feet. Ikea signed a long-term lease for a giant single-story Staten Island warehouse to store its weirdly-named furniture and service a growing online retail business.

The building is part of the Matrix Global Logistics Park, a 3.5 million-square-foot warehouse complex under construction near the Goethals Bridge in Bloomfield.

The property’s developer, Matrix Development, previously signed a lease with Amazon for another warehouse and plans to complete the buildings within three months, according to a release. Morgan Stanley is a partner in the project.

Ikea manages 47 stores in the U.S., including one in Red Hook that’s a 35-minute drive from the new warehouse.
