UPDATED, 12:35 p.m., Jan. 18: John Catsimatidis’ large mixed-use project on Coney Island has a new rendering.
The project, dubbed “Ocean Dreams,” will feature a glass façade with a white trim between floors, and Hill West Architects is designing it, according to New York YIMBY.
It will consist of three structures, two of which will be 21 stories and 221 feet tall. They will span 432,000 square feet in total with 23,000 square feet for ground floor retail. The project will also contain 425 residential units and about 300 parking spaces, as well as a trolley service to take people to the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway stop.
The Prusik Group and Taconic Investment Partners are planning a massive mixed-use complex nearby at 1709 Surf Avenue with 1,000 apartments, 150,000 square feet of retail and 80,000 square feet of offices. [YIMBY] – Eddie Small
