Brooklyn Hospital is moving up the block to a 70,000-square-foot space at a newly-constructed building in Fort Greene.

The hospital signed a 10-year lease to anchor the 180,000-square-foot building at 620 Fulton Street, according to Crain’s, and will occupy more than six of the building’s 12 floors. It was rumored last year to be in negotiations for about 70,000 square feet.

Brooklyn Hospital is relocating from the Maynard Building, also in Fort Greene, which it recently sold to the Rabsky Group for $100 million.

The hospital’s new landlord is the New York Hotel Trades Council, which developed the Fulton Avenue building and will occupy the second through sixth floors. That leaves just one vacancy at 620 Fulton, a 6,000-square-foot ground-floor retail space.

Ingram & Hebron Realty represented both landlord and tenant in the deal. Asking rents at the building were $65 per square foot, according to the brokerage. [Crain’s]Chava Gourarie
