Socialite Georgette Mosbacher has sold her co-op unit at 1020 Fifth Avenue for $21 million, $8.5 million less than the previous asking price, according to property records filed with the city Monday.
Mosbacher, who was recently named U.S. ambassador to Poland and whose husband served as secretary of commerce under President George H.W. Bush, lived in the home for 25 years and previously listed it in January 2017 for $29.5 million.
She sold it to Andrew Lauren, who appears to be the son of designer Ralph Lauren.
Mosbacher lived in unit 5 of the building, which spans a full floor and faces the Met. The three-bedroom unit also has a private elevator landing, a library, a formal dining room and 20-foot-high ceilings.
Mosbacher and Lauren could not immediately be reached for comment.
A five-bedroom unit on the seventh floor of the building sold in August for $18 million, while a unit at 15 Central Park West just sold this week for $50 million.
