To buy into one of the nation’s 10 most expensive zip codes, you’ll need to be raking in at least $288,000 per year.

For those who are goal-oriented, personal finance website GOBankingRates tallied up the exact annual salaries you’d need to earn to buy–and then live comfortably–in the priciest zip codes from coast to coast, as cited by CNBC.

To note: GOBankingRates’ calculations spending habits follow the 50-30-20 rule, which purports that 50 percent of income should cover basic living expenses, 30 percent is a free-for-all and 20 percent is for savings.
