The suspect in the shootings at a luxury rental high-rise on the Upper East Side has turned himself in, police said.
Farris Koroma, 22, came into the 114th Precinct overnight with his lawyer and said he was the suspect in the surveillance video police released on Wednesday, according to WABC. Koroma walked out of the precinct and was taken to Central Booking this morning.
Koroma is suspected of firing two shots from Roosevelt Island into Solow Management’s One East River Place, addressed at 525 East 72nd Street. The first shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. on August 16, which broke a window on the 14th floor, and the second happened Saturday and hit the 32nd floor. Neither resulted in an injury.
A woman was in the NYPD’s surveillance video as well, but she is a witness and will not be charged, police said. [WABC] – Eddie Small
