Paul Massey’s B6 Real Estate Advisors has lured yet another former colleague from Massey Knakal Realty Services and Cushman & Wakefield.
Tom Donovan, vice chairman at Cushman’s capital markets group, is joining B6 as a partner and vice chairman, Commercial Observer reported. In his new position, he will oversee investment sales in Queens.
Donovan joined Massey Knakal in 1998 and helped grow the firm’s operations in Queens from two brokers to more than 20. He joined Cushman when it acquired Massey Knakal in 2015. Over the course of his career, he’s handled more than $2 billion in sales across nearly 600 properties, according to B6.
“I felt that it was time for me to do something a little more entrepreneurial,” Donovan said. “I wanted to get back to the basics of selling buildings and growing a business. This new platform will be a little more agile, and I’ll be one of the decision-makers.”
Other Massey Knakal and Cushman veterans have also recently joined B6, including David Chase, DJ Johnston, Neil Heilberg and Michael Wlody. [CO] — Kathryn Brenzel
