The Engel Burman Group plans to erect an addiction treatment and research center on a 95-acre property in Calverton, according to M&T Bank, which provided a $47.5 million loan to finance the construction. The residential facility, called Wellbridge, will have six buildings, including a 6,000-square-foot research pavilian. The developer partnered with Northwell Health for the project. When finished in 2019, the facility will be the first such residential facility tied to a major health system and dedicated to the research and treatment of addiction. [M&T Bank]
