Developer Harry Einhorn is planning to build a 65-unit mixed-use project in Flatbush on the site of a former neighborhood furniture store.
The seven-story project will be located at 815 Flatbush Avenue and span about 70,000 square feet, according to plans pre-filed with the Department of Buildings on Monday. The property currently houses a two-story commercial building.
The rental building will likely be split between 70 percent market-rate units and 30 percent affordable units, and it should be done sometime in 2020. It will include about 7,000 square feet of retail space as well.
Einhorn runs his company with his son Victor, and the pair filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2016 amid a legal fight over a building in Williamsburg.
Other buildings planned for Flatbush include a mixed-use property from developer Anshel Friedman at 2708 Snyder Avenue with 105 units and a mixed-used property from A&H Acquisitions at 2251 Nostrand Avenue with 38 units.
