Nike will be one of the latest tenants to come to the South Street Seaport.
The company has signed a lease for 23,000 square feet of creative office space at Pier 17, according to the New York Post. It will be right next to the third floor’s ESPN studio. No further details of the deal, including asking rent, were immediately available.
A “winterland” program is also coming to the pier’s rooftop in mid-December that will include an ice rink and cafes.
The $731 million redevelopment project from Howard Hughes Corporation is set to open next year. The project will include multiple new restaurants, including one from acclaimed chef Andrew Carmellini, one from Jean-Georges Vongerichten and a new Momofuku location. [NYP] – Eddie Small
