Halstead headed to Guastavino’s, just under the 59th Street bridge, for its annual holiday party.
Nearly 800 guests went to the brokerage’s festivities, where they were greeted with men on stilts passing out “starter” chips. Partygoers could use the chips for casino games including blackjack and roulette — and later cash in their earnings for raffle tickets. The prizes were largely for charitable donations, with some other perks like gift cards and marketing packages thrown in.
The firm’s celebrity guest was Bucky Dent, a former World Series MVP and holder of two World Series rings from when he played for the New York Yankees in the 1970s. He arrived at the party in a festive red sweater and immediately drew requests for photos and introductions. Halstead is the official luxury real estate firm for the Yankees.
Guests at the party mingled with drinks and hors d’oeuvres on the lower level before heading upstairs for games and dancing. About halfway through, lights dimmed on the white, wintry decor as the DJ played top 40 tunes for a crowded dance floor — where CEO Diane Ramirez was among the first to join.
Halstead President Richard Grossman was also in attendance. Other partygoers included Itzy Garay, who heads sales at the Park Avenue office; Louise Phillips Forbes, who leads the firm’s top sales team; and Stephen Kliegerman, president of Halstead Property Development Marketing.
HPDM’s properties include Galerie in Long Island City — a project that has seen a surge of interest following news of Amazon’s new campus in the neighborhood. The firm is also signed on to Brooklyn Grove in Downtown Brooklyn and 51 Jay Street in Dumbo.
