Look what they’ve got their Hanes on now.
HanesBrands, the parent company of notable clothing brands such as Hanes, Champion, and Playtex, is consolidating its New York offices at the Sapir Organization’s 260 Madison Avenue.
The North Carolina-based apparel manufacturer has signed a 36,293-square-foot lease expansion for the entire seventh floor at the building, according to a press release. The company previously occupied the entire sixth and 14th floors, and plans to relocate its offices at 16 East 34th Street to the building as well. The expansion brings Hanes’ total square footage at 260 Madison to 96,398.
A CBRE team led by Peter Turchin represented the owners, while Mitchell Konsker of JLL and Robert Gallucci of Colliers International represented HanesBrands.
The seventh-floor space was recently vacated by headhunting firm Solomon Page, who rearranged their offices in the building last year, trading the seventh floor for the fourth. Another portion of that floor had been occupied by the performing artists’ union AFTRA, who departed after their merger with the Screen Actors Guild in 2012.
Other major tenants at the building include investment sales brokerage Marcus & Millichap, the Coca-Cola Company and the law firm McLaughlin & Stern.
The Sapir Organization also owns 261 Madison Avenue across the street, where WeWork rival Knotel manages 45,000 square feet of office space.
