Chany Rosen is always on the run. Perhaps that’s why at just 28 she’s already made a name for herself in New York City’s cutthroat property business.
The expeditor gave up a teaching career to help landlords and other clients find their way through the city’s often byzantine Department of Buildings. Rosen’s 15-person team at Brooklyn-based Cavalry Associates, which she formed with her brother, Yoel Bochner, handle everything from code violations to zoning issues.
As a member of the Hassidic community, Rosen doesn’t drive, relying on a fleet of ride-sharing services to help her get through each day, along with her seemingly ever-present pair of Chanel Ballet flats, as detailed by The Real Deal in its June issue.
Rosen let TRD tag along with her earlier this month as she woke up her kids, met with clients and traveled to Long Island City. Watch above to see Rosen chat about staying hyper-organized, not taking random phone calls and maintaining a sense of work-life balance.
