1. Aleksandra Melnichenko, a former model and singer and the wife of Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko, picked up a penthouse at 110 Central Park South for $12.8 million. In 2010, Aleksandra closed on another penthouse in the 25-story building for $12.2 million. The New York Times first reported the more recent sale, noting it was the city’s second-priciest co-op transaction last month.
2. Journalist and film producer Jamie Wolf bought a $4 million co-op at 907 Fifth Avenue. The two-bedroom home was listed in 2018 at $5 million, according to StreetEasy. Brown Harris Stevens’ John Burger had the listing.
3. Rainer Mathes, the president of Cision Insights, which provides software for the public relations industry, bought a condo at 160 Leroy Street in the West Village for about $7.2 million. The seller was a trust tied to investor Michael La Fetra, who acquired the unit in 2018 for a similar price. Mathes also closed on another condo, for $4.6 million, at 173 Perry Street, about seven blocks away. The seller in that deal was a trust.
