Cobble Hill townhouse is again priciest Brooklyn contract
Borough’s luxury deals included six houses and four condos
For the second week in a row, a townhouse on Amity Street in Cobble Hill was the priciest residential deal to go into contract in Brooklyn.
At $8 million, the townhouse at 166 Amity Street was the priciest residential deal to go into contract in Brooklyn last week. The week before, a townhouse at 94A Amity Street was the priciest deal in Brooklyn at $6.4 million.
The townhouse at 166 Amity Street spans 4,500 square feet and has five bedrooms. It went into contract at its asking price after spending 59 days on the market.
Overall, Brooklyn saw 10 contracts signed for $2 million or more last week, split between six houses and four condos, according to the latest report from Compass.
The average price of those contracts was about $3.6 million, and the total volume was about $36.2 million. The properties spent an average of 175 days on the market and sold at an average of 1 percent less than the asking price. It was a slower week than the week before, when 18 contracts were signed for about $52.1 million.
The second priciest deal to go into contract, at about $6 million, was for a condo at 210 Pacific Street in Boerum Hill. The five-bedroom unit spans about 2,800 square feet and went into contract at its asking price.
Other notable Brooklyn deals last week included a townhouse at 14 Willow Place in Brooklyn Heights for $4.7 million and a townhouse at 143 Bond Street in Boerum Hill for about $3 million.
