Brooklyn Heights townhouse is priciest Brooklyn contract

Borough’s luxury deals included 10 houses and two condos

A tony townhouse in Brooklyn Heights was the priciest residential deal to go into contract in Brooklyn last week.

The five-bedroom property at 35 Sidney Place went for $6.25 million. It spans 5,900 square feet and went into contract at its asking price after 76 days on the market.

Overall, Brooklyn saw 12 contracts signed for $2 million or more last week, split between 10 houses and two condos, according to the latest report from Compass.

The average price of those contracts was about $2.8 million, and the total volume was about $33.7 million. The properties spent an average of 108 days on the market and sold at an average of 9 percent less than the asking price. It was a busier week than the week before, when 10 contracts were signed for about $36.2 million.

The second priciest deal to go into contract, at $3.15 million, was for a townhouse at 22 Lefferts Place in Clinton Hill. The seven-bedroom home spans 3,120 square feet and went into contract at 4 percent below its asking price after 131 days on the market.

Other notable Brooklyn deals last week included a townhouse at 432 Van Brunt Street in Red Hook for about $2.8 million and a condo at 11 Hoyt Street in Downtown Brooklyn for about $2.5 million.
