Extell Development is bringing a sky-high private club to what’s slated to be the world’s tallest residential tower.
The developer announced plans for the “100th Floor” at Central Park Tower. The club, looming 1,000 feet in the air, will span 50,000 square feet across three floors and offer an array of luxury services and amenities. Meanwhile, the actual 100th floor of the building will house a private ballroom, dining room, bar, full-service kitchen, and wine and cigar lounges.
It will be the world’s highest private residential club in the world, according to the developer. But that’s far from the only record Gary Barnett’s firm has sought to set with the condo project. At 1,550 feet, it’s set to be the tallest residential building in the world. And with a $4 billion sellout price, it’s easily the priciest condo development in New York City history.
Sales at the luxury tower launched in October 2018, and the project topped out in September. The 179 condos will range in size from 1,435 square feet to 17,500 square feet, and at least 20 units will ask more than $60 million, according to the offering plan.
When asked about his Billionaires’ Row projects last month, Barnett told The Real Deal, “We don’t have the velocity we’d like to see, but we are signing deals. We are chipping away at the inventory.”
