Tune in at 5 p.m. tonight to hear the Partnership for New York City’s Kathryn Wylde, Ladder Capital’s Alan Fishman and Industry City’s Andrew Kimball discuss getting back to business with TRD senior managing editor Erik Engquist.
With the Cuomo administration sketching out the path forward, many in the public and private sector are collaborating on how to restart New York’s economy. As president and CEO of the Partnership, whose membership includes the largest firms in the city, Wylde has been fielding many of those calls and working with the leaders of more than 100 private companies on the best policies to bring to Albany.
Among those executives is Fishman, chairman of Ladder Capital Finance, a commercial REIT that manages over $6 billion in assets. Ladder is still making deals; two weeks ago it sold off as much as $200 million in loans to Madison Realty Capital.
Industry City CEO Andrew Kimball has been working for years to redevelop the massive hub he operates in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park. Industry City, which received $720 million in refinancing in December, was in the midst of public review of a rezoning application when all such reviews were paused to wait out the pandemic. The industrial and retail campus’ 16 buildings include more than 50 retail and restaurant tenants. Kimball previously ran the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Listen in as the three business leaders discuss their own next moves and the steps the city must take to get back on track.
Register here for tonight’s talk.
