CBRE hired a broker from JLL with 10 million square feet of office leases to his name.
Sam Seiler joined the brokerage after a six-year run at JLL, a CBRE spokesperson told The Real Deal.
It’s something of a homecoming for Seiler, who spent 13 years at CBRE before decamping for JLL in 2018.
Over the course of his career, Seiler has leased more than 10 million square feet representing both landlords and tenants, particularly companies in financial services and tech.
He has worked on teams that handled leasing at SL Green and Vornado’s 280 Park Avenue, Boston Properties’ 250 West 55th Street, Columbia Property Trust’s 799 Broadway and Rubenstein Partners’ 25 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, among others.
Last year he represented VTS in a 34,000-square-foot sublease at 3 Bryant Park.

Manhattan office leasing has totaled almost 21 million square feet this year through August, according to Colliers, and has a shot to exceed 30 million square feet for the first time since 2019.
“If demand continues at this pace for the rest of the year, we’re going to cross that 30-million-square-foot mark, which would really be a significant milestone in terms of Manhattan’s movement towards recovery,” Colliers’ Franklin Wallach said.
