The auction house renewed its lease for its massive headquarters in the Plaza District building, where it has been anchored since 1997. A four-member CBRE team including Mary Ann Tighe and Ramneek Rikhy represented the tenant, while EB Kelly and Blythe Kinsler of Tishman Speyer represented the landlord in house.
2) Yeshiva University | 1293 Broadway | Penn Plaza | 160K sf
The private university signed a lease in the Penn Plaza building for a new healthcare campus. The space was formerly held by ASA College. David Carlos of Savills (now at JLL) represented the tenant, while Jacob Jerome and Morris Bailey of JEMB Realty represented the landlord in house alongside a four-member Newmark team including Brian Waterman and Brent Ozarowski.
3) Stubhub | 4 World Trade Center | Financial District | 103K sf
The ticketing resale platform inked a new sublease for its offices in the Financial District building. The company takes over three floors vacated by music streaming service Spotify. A five-member Savills team including Scott Bogetti and Kirill Azovtsev represented the tenant, while Sheena Gohil of Colliers represented Spotify.
4) PubMatic | 498 Seventh Avenue | Garment District | 60K sf
The tech firm signed a new deal in the Garment District building, moving from a sublease to a direct deal with the landlord and expanding to a second floor. Greg Taubin of Savills represented the tenant, while Matt Coudert and Andrew Conrad of George Comfort & Sons represented the landlord in house. The building is co-owned by George Comfort & Sons, Loeb Partners Realty and JR AMC.
4) Otto Environmental Systems | 807 Bank Street | Canarsie | 60K sf
The tenant signed a new lease in the Canarsie building. Rico Murtha and Helen Paul of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, while a four-member Cushman & Wakefield team including Rico Murtha and Helen Paul represented the landlord, Turnbridge Equities.
4) School in the Square | 4650 Broadway | Washington Heights | 60K sf
The school signed a new lease in the Washington Heights building, rounding out the trio of leases tied for fourth place on this list at 60,000 square feet of space leased. The new space includes a full-sized basketball court. Justin DiMare and Christopher Ventura of Newmark represented the landlord, Arden Group.
5) Daiwa Capital Markets | 1251 Sixth Avenue | Midtown West | 44.1K sf
The tenant inked a new lease in the Midtown West building, relocating from its old space at 32 Old Slip in the Financial District. Erik Schmall of Scott Weiss represented the tenant, while David Falk and Peter Shimkin of Newmark represented the landlord, Mitsui Fudosan America.
6) Hazen Sawyer | 498 Seventh Avenue | Garment District | 44K sf
