Ivana Trump’s estate has spent almost three years trying to sell her unusual Upper East Side townhouse. Another price cut may do it.
The estate knocked down the asking price on her former five-story, 20-foot-wide townhouse at 10 East 64th Street to $17.9 million, the New York Post reported. This is the third listing price reduction, 32 percent less than its initial ask of $26.5 million when it hit the market in November 2022.
The socialite purchased the home for $2.5 million in 1992, shortly after she divorced Donald Trump.
The 8,700-square-foot townhouse between Fifth and Madison avenues features the hallmarks of Ivana’s opulent style, though the design also raised concerns among real estate watchers about who would actually be interested in such a home.
The entrance has red carpets, pink marble lashings, a crystal chandelier and a statue. Upper floors can be accessed by either a curved marble staircase or a birdcage elevator.
On the second floor are multiple formal entertaining areas, a pleated gold fabric ceiling and a living room with red and green upholstering. That floor also features a dining room covered in gold fabric and a white grand piano.
The third floor library is full of leopard print and other animal-inspired motifs. The primary bedroom includes a gold-embossed fireplace, an en-suite bathroom almost entirely pink with accents of gold and a massive closet. Behind the home, meanwhile, is a south-facing garden and a terrace.
The Modlin Group’s Adam Modlin and Douglas Elliman’s Roger Erickson hold the listing.
Ivana died in July 2022. After the home’s initial listing that November, the price was reduced to $22.5 million in September 2023 and then $19.5 million last summer before settling on its latest number, which would work out to $2,050 per square foot.
