Ivana Trump’s townhouse has finally sold after over three years and just as many price cuts.
The opulent home at 10 East 64th Street sold for $14 million, according to public records. The final price is nearly 50 percent off from when it was listed in 2022 for $26.5 million. The price was later dropped to $17.9 million last year.
The socialite bought the home for $2.5 million in 1992, shortly after divorcing Donald Trump. The home hit the market after Ivana’s death in July 2022.
Built in 1879, the home spans over 8,700 square feet and has an additional 700 square feet of outdoor space. George Gregorian, a designer who had worked with her on the Plaza Hotel, helped redesign the property, which formerly hosted a dental office.
Thirty years later, some of the interior decisions raised some eyebrows.
Parts of the home were covered in gold fabric or animal print, and imposing crystal chandeliers hang from the ceilings of the six-story home.
“No one is buying the place and not redoing it,” Dennis Basso, a fashion designer and longtime associate of the late matriarch, told the New York Times in 2023. “It may have been done by the best designer of its period, but nobody with this kind of money wants a 30-year-old bathroom, and that’s how long she was in that apartment.”
The home still held fond memories for her and children, Eric, Donald Jr. and Ivanka Trump, who lived in it during their teenage years, Eric told the Wall Street Journal in 2022.
The townhouse is currently configured as a five-bedroom, five-bathroom home. Instead of a full-size kitchen, it has two galley-style kitchens.
The three children are set to split the proceeds of the sale by Ivana’s estate.
The Modlin Group’s Adam Modlin and Douglas Elliman’s Roger Erickson shared the co-exclusive listing, according to StreetEasy.
The home marks yet another high-profile Upper East Side townhouse to sell following a set of price cuts. After nearly five years on the market, Ron Perelman’s home at 36 East 63rd Street sold for $47 million last month after originally seeking $60 million last month.
