🏆 Residential: The priciest residential real estate sale recorded in New York City was in Greenwich Village. Art dealer Gordon VeneKlasen offloaded a townhouse at 7 MacDougal Alley for $18 million. The buyer was City Weed LLC. VeneLlasen purchased the home from hedge funder Daniel Loeb in 2009 for $5.5 million. The 4,000-square-foot home has a terrace and a parking space. It went on the market in March of 2025 for just under $20 million. Compass’ Tim Malone had the listing.
🏆 Commercial: The most expensive commercial real estate transaction to hit records was in Long Island City, where a La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndam hotel at 9-02 38th Avenue traded for $26.6 million. The 13-story property spans more than 44,000 square feet and last sold in 2013 for $1.9 million. In the latest sale, the seller was an LLC tied to Steven Mandel and the buyer was an LLC linked to Hardik Patel.
📊 Residential: Miki Naftali’s Naftali Group sold two sponsor units at The Henry, the firm’s luxury development at 211 West 85th Street on the Upper West Side. An LLC tied to Jim Cheng and Anne Mei Li purchased a 3,100-square-foot unit for $10.6 million; another LLC managed by Matthew Berke purchased the other, a 3,400-square-foot pad, for $9.5 million. Compass is handling sales at the property.
📊 Commercial: In Greenwich Village, a commercial condo at 156-168 Bleecker Street sold for $21.3 million. The seller was LNR Partners and the buyer was Greenwich, Connecticut-based Arcam Group.
