The buyer was an affiliate of the Hennick Group, which is based in Toronto. The 14-story building spans just under 55,000 square feet; the property last sold in 1998.

🏆 Residential: The priciest home sale to hit records was in Chelsea, where attorney Benjamin Finestone scooped up a condo at The Walker Tower at 212 West 18th Street for $9 million. The seller was an LLC tied to attorney Susheel Kirpalani, who had purchased the 2,700-square-foot unit in 2014 for about $9.04 million. The sale breaks down to roughly $3,300 per square foot.

📊 Commercial: In Little Italy, a 10,000-square-foot, mixed-use building at 236 Bowery changed hands for just under $45 million. The buyer was an LLC tied to Building Equity Management LLC. Bari Restaurant & Pizzeria Equipment Corp. had owned the building since the late 1970s then transferred it into another LLC in 2024.

📊 Commercial: In Midwood, a six-story apartment complex with 119 units at 996 Ocean Parkway sold for $23.5 million. The seller was ParcJay Apartments, LLC, which had owned the property for decades. The buyer was an LLC tied to David Brecher

📊 Residential: Stacey Kotler, who has worked in the beauty industry, purchased a 3,200-square-foot sponsor unit at Axia Development’s 40 East 72nd Street in Lenox Hill for $7.6 million. The unit, a duplex, has four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. It also has about 1,300 square feet of outdoor space. Its last asking price was about $8 million. Corcoran’s Richard Hottinger and Ashley Banker had the listing.
