The property on 42nd Street stands 41 stories tall and has 268 apartments; the 43rd Street building stands seven stories tall and houses 52 apartments. The buyer was Go Residential. The seller was an affiliate of Friedman Management Corp., which appears to have owned the buildings for decades.
🏆 Residential: A penthouse in Chinatown at 129 Lafayette Street sold for $9.8 million, representing the top home sale recorded in New York. An LLC tied to Frederic Marc Antoine Verglas was the seller. Lafayette PHA LLC was the buyer. The home spans around 4,600 square feet with four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. This comes out to about $2,100 per square foot. Richard Nassimi with Douglas Elliman had the listing.
📊Commercial: In Yorkville, a four-story retail property at 1511 Third Avenue traded for $46.1 million. The sellers were Union Investment and Nuveen Real Estate, Commercial Observer reported. The buyer was Stockbridge, based in San Francisco, according to the outlet. CBRE represented the sellers in the deal.
📊Residential: James and Clare Bradshaw parted with a townhouse at 52 Sidney Place in Brooklyn Heights for $8.5 million. The buyer was Adam Kahn. The home measures about 5,300 square feet and has seven bedrooms, four bathrooms and two powder rooms, along with a roofdeck. The home went on the market in April 2025, with an asking price of just under $11 million. Corcoran’s Deborah Rieders and Tita Omeze had the listing.
