Michael Rubin scoops up Hamptons beachfront home that asked $43M

Mogul in contract for house next to his $50M “White Party” mansion in Bridgehampton

Michael Rubin, the billionaire fashion, trading card and sports betting titan, has picked up a second beachfront home on Bridgehampton’s Dune Road.

The founding CEO of Fanatics and host of the A-list “White Party” inked a deal to purchase the 4,200-square-foot home at 167 Dune Road that sought $42.5 million, the New York Post reported. The seller was an unidentified family foundation tied to real estate mogul Donald Zucker.

The final price for the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home under contract was not disclosed. Jennifer Wilson of Saunders & Associates represented the buyer.

“It’s an iconic Hamptons home,” Wilson told the Post. “It’s traditional, old school and very beautiful.”

The two-story shingled home sits next to the modern mansion where Rubin hosts his White Party in July. Guests at this month’s bash included Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, Teyana Taylor, Tom Brady and Jay-Z.

Rubin bought the 8,000-square-foot contemporary mansion at 187 Dune Road in 2020 for $50.1 million.

Rubin rented the home next door for a week during the gathering, not for his white-clad celebrity guests, but for security, an unidentified source told the tabloid.

Built in 1994 from a design by Francis Fleetwood, the home sits on 3.14 acres and has 300 feet of oceanfront along a private beach along the Atlantic Ocean, on a spit opposite Mecox Bay.

The home includes an open chef’s kitchen and living room around a large fireplace, with panoramic views of the ocean and bay, according to the listing

The living room opens onto an oceanfront deck, while a den shares the saltwater views. The ground floor includes a primary bedroom with a sitting area, spa-like bathroom and terrace. Upstairs, also accessible via an elevator to beneath the home’s many gabled roofs, are four guest bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.

Outside, there’s a pool, summer kitchen and a pool house with a bath and wet bar, plus an outdoor shower.

Fanatics, a global sports platform that sells licensed fan apparel, trading cards and collectibles and operates digital sports betting and live events, is expected to rake in $13 billion in revenue this year, according to the Post. Forbes pegs Rubin’s wealth at $9.6 billion.

In 2018, the then co-owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils paid a record $40 million for a penthouse at Ian Schrager’s 160 Leroy Street in Manhattan.
