Town halts billionaire’s plan to move his Amagansett mansion

A billionaire’s plans to relocate a mansion from its current location to a 4.8-acre parcel in Amagansett have been halted, 27east reported. East Hampton Town gave former hedge fund manager Michael Novogratz a permit to move the home on Ocean View Lane at the beginning of November, but issued a stop-work this month. Novogratz’s team secured the permit based on county tax maps that didn’t show a “paper road” on the property. A Springs resident then came forward with documents “supporting the paper road’s legal existence,” according to the outlet.
