A Long Island park named for “master builder” Robert Moses could end up getting renamed. Manhattan Assemblyman Daniel O’Donnell has introduced a bill that would form a task force to “explore new names” for Robert Moses State Park, Newsday reported. Moses is a controversial figure who has been both lauded for his contributions to the metropolitan area and accused of spurring racial and economic segregation. “Our public institutions should honor those who work for all New Yorkers, and I hope we take this opportunity to ensure this park is named for someone who did just that,” O’Donnell told the outlet.
