Developer Paul Amoruso and the owners of Jericho Plaza in Jericho on Long Island hope to bring a hotel and conference center to a nearby parking lot, Newsday reported. The $43.6 million project would rise on six acres of land near the Long Island Expressway and would include a 150- to 180-key hotel and a conference center spanning 10,000 square feet, as well as a spa and a restaurant, according to the outlet. Oyster Bay Town still has to approve the proposal. The project “would become an amenity that hopefully is an attraction for tenants to locate in the vacancies in the surrounding office buildings,” an attorney for the developers said. [Newsday]
