Gwathmey-designed Amagansett home sells for nearly half original list price

A house in Amagansett designed by architect Charles Gwathmey has a new owner. An unidentified buyer paid $3.5 million for the 1,934-square-foot, five-bedroom home on Bluff Road, which was listed for $6 million back in 2017, 27east reported. Gwathmey, who died in 2009, was one of five architects “known as ‘the Whites’ for their modernist style,” according to the outlet.
