The coronavirus pandemic has given the East End its most expensive rental ever, according to the New York Post. Developer Joe Farrell rented the massive 11-bedroom home nicknamed “the Sandcastle”  in Bridgehampton to a textiles mogul who wanted to get out of New York City “on a day’s notice,” Farrell said. The sticker tag to rent it from March through Labor Day? $2 million. The family joins Justin Bieber, Beyoncé and Jay-Z on the list of notable renters who’ve shacked up at the Sandcastle. Farrell said he has a handful of other homes for rent in the Hamptons for between $65,000 and $700,000 through Labor Day. [NYP] – Dennis Lynch
